- Metode analisis sedimen pesisir dan laut berupa pengambilan sampel sedimen di lingkungan pesisir dan laut serta Analisis laboratorium dan lapangan untuk mempelajari komposisi dan tekstur sedimen.
- Klasifikasi batuan sedimen berdasarkan sifat fisik ukuran butir, bentuk, sortasi) dan berdasarkan komposisi mineral dan tekstur.
