- Metode rancangan lereng dan program penyelidikan lapangan, termasuk strategi pengumpulan data geologi-geoteknik dan pemetaan diskontinuitas
- Pengujian laboratorium untuk penentuan parameter fisik dan mekanik tanah/batuan serta interpretasinya untuk analisis lereng
- Analisis kinematik menggunakan stereonet untuk identifikasi potensi mekanisme longsoran (bidang, baji, guling, buckling)
- Analisis kestabilan lereng untuk longsoran busur (circular failure) dan pendekatan limit equilibrium secara umum
- Analisis kestabilan lereng berbasis numerik, mencakup Finite Element Method (FEM) dan Distinct Element Method (DEM) beserta ruang lingkup penerapannya
