  1. Able to explain the beginning and development of GPS technology, the constituent segments of GPS and the products produced from GPS, as well as the capabilities and limitations of GPS systems.
  2. Able to explain the function of GPS signals, data and components of GPS signals, as well as the structure and modulation of GPS signals
  3. Able to explain and calculate how to determine distance using code data, how to determine distance using phase data, and the contents of navigation messages.
