Bahan Kajian
  1. Pengantar Seni Fantasi & Tradisi Visualnya: Definisi, fungsi, dan ragam praktik fantasy art; contoh lintas medium (ilustrasi, film, game, VFX/CGI).
  2. Fondasi Narasi: Mitologi, Folklor, Sci-Fi: Struktur dunia fiksi, tema, konflik, dan “rules of the world” untuk mendukung visual.
  3. Riset & Pengembangan Referensi (Teks–Visual): Teknik riset, kurasi referensi, moodboard, komparasi gaya, dan perumusan brief visual berbasis data.
  4. Anatomi & Gesture untuk Karakter Fantasi: Proposi, pose, siluet, ekspresi; penerapan untuk hero/heroine dan humanoid.
  5. Desain Creature & Kelayakan Visual: Prinsip desain makhluk (biologi imajinatif, variasi bentuk, tekstur, material), konsistensi dengan dunia cerita.
  6. Worldbuilding: Atmosfer, Background, Pencahayaan & Mood: Perancangan setting, komposisi, kedalaman, pencahayaan, dan mood untuk mendukung narasi; output berupa environment/background concept.
  1. Introduction to Fantasy Art & Its Visual Traditions: Definition, roles, and practices of fantasy art; cross-media examples (illustration, film, games, VFX/CGI).
  2. Narrative Foundations: Mythology, Folklore, Science Fiction: Fictional world structure, themes, conflict, and world rules to support visuals.
  3. Research & Reference Building (Textual–Visual): Research methods, reference curation, moodboards, style comparison, and data-informed visual briefs.
  4. Anatomy & Gesture for Fantasy Characters: Proportion, pose, silhouette, expression; applied to heroes/heroine and humanoids.
  5. Creature Design & Visual Plausibility: Creature design principles (imagined biology, form variation, texture/material), consistency with the story world.
  6. Worldbuilding: Atmosphere, Backgrounds, Lighting & Mood: Setting design, composition, depth, lighting, and mood for narrative support; output as environment/background concepts.
Capaian Pembelajaran Mata Kuliah (CPMK)
  1. Mahasiswa mampu mempresentasikan konsep narasi fantasi dan arah visual (art direction) secara efektif secara lisan dan tulisan, termasuk tujuan dan ringkasan keputusan desain utama.
  2. Mahasiswa mampu mengumpulkan, mengkurasi, dan menganalisis data riset tekstual–visual (termasuk kompilasi referensi skala besar) untuk merumuskan brief, batasan, serta peluang eksplorasi desain pada karya fantasi (mitologi, folklor, sci-fi).
  3. Mahasiswa mampu merancang dan memproduksi karya narasi visual berbasis fantasi yang mencakup konsep dasar narasi, visualisasi karakter/creature, serta atmosfer dunia & background/setting, melalui proses kerja prosedural dan iteratif
  4. Mahasiswa mampu memilih dan memanfaatkan media/teknologi digital yang relevan dalam proses perancangan.
  1. Students can present fantasy narrative concepts and visual direction effectively in oral and written forms, including goals and key design decisions.
  2. Students can collect, curate, and analyze textual–visual research data (including large reference collections) to define briefs, constraints, and exploration opportunities for fantasy works (mythology, folklore, sci-fi).
  3. Students can design and produce fantasy narrative visuals covering narrative concept, character/creature visualization, and world atmosphere & backgrounds/settings, through a procedural and iterative workflow
  4. Students can select and leverage relevant digital media/technologies in the design process.
