  1. Pengantar Desain Grafis Lingkungan & Sign System: Definisi, fungsi, komponen EGD (identitas tempat, wayfinding, interpretive signage), konteks ruang.
  2. Tipologi & Fungsi Sistem Tanda: Jenis-jenis signage (identification, directional, regulatory, informational) dan perannya dalam orientasi ruang.
  3. Pengguna, Aksesibilitas, dan Konteks Lingkungan: Kategori pengguna, kebutuhan informasi, inklusivitas, keselamatan, dan keterbacaan pada kondisi nyata.
  4. Tipografi untuk Signage: Legibility vs readability, hierarki informasi, ukuran huruf, jarak pandang, kontras, material & pencahayaan.
  5. Piktogram & Bahasa Visual: Prinsip simbol, konsistensi sistem, standar umum, uji keterpahaman.
  6. Metode Studi Lapangan & Analisis EGD Eksisting: Observasi, pemetaan titik signage, audit informasi, dokumentasi, analisis temuan berbasis data.
  7. Pengembangan Proyek Terintegrasi (Final Project): Perancangan identitas lingkungan + sistem tanda informasi yang saling terintegrasi; prototyping & presentasi.
  1. Introduction to Environmental Graphic Design & Sign Systems: Definitions, functions, EGD components (placemaking identity, wayfinding, interpretive signage), spatial context.
  2. Sign System Typology & Functions: Types of signage (identification, directional, regulatory, informational) and their role in spatial orientation.
  3. Users, Accessibility, and Environmental Context: User categories, information needs, inclusivity, safety, and readability in real conditions.
  4. Typography for Signage: Legibility vs readability, information hierarchy, letter size, viewing distance, contrast, material & lighting.
  5. Pictograms & Visual Language: Symbol principles, system consistency, common standards, comprehensibility testing.
  6. Field Study Method & Existing EGD Analysis: Observation, signage mapping, information audit, documentation, data-based findings.
  7. Integrated Project Development (Final Project): Designing environmental identity + integrated information signage system; prototyping & presentation.
Capaian Pembelajaran Mata Kuliah (CPMK)
  1. Mampu menganalisis grafis lingkungan eksisting secara sistematis melalui observasi lapangan dan dokumentasi.
  2. Mampu mengidentifikasi kebutuhan pengguna dan konteks ruang untuk merumuskan masalah komunikasi visual pada lingkungan binaan.
  3. Mampu merancang sistem tanda (sign system) yang prosedural dan terintegrasi, mencakup identitas lingkungan serta sistem informasi/wayfinding.
  4. Mampu menerapkan prinsip tipografi signage dan piktogram untuk memastikan keterbacaan, konsistensi, dan kejelasan informasi.
  5. Mampu menyusun solusi desain berbasis data (temuan lapangan) dan mengevaluasi kelayakan rancangan terhadap konteks penggunaan nyata.
  6. Mampu menunjukkan kemampuan kerja kolaboratif, komunikasi, dan tanggung jawab dalam pengerjaan tugas kelompok serta proyek akhir.
  1. Able to systematically analyze existing environmental graphics through field observation and documentation.
  2. Able to identify user needs and spatial context to frame visual communication problems in the built environment.
  3. Able to design a procedural and integrated sign system, covering environmental identity and information/wayfinding systems.
  4. Able to apply signage typography and pictogram principles to ensure legibility, consistency, and clarity of information.
  5. Able to develop data-informed design solutions (based on field findings) and evaluate feasibility within real usage contexts.
  6. Able to demonstrate collaboration, communication, and responsibility in group assignments and the final project.
