Bahan Kajian
  1. Pengantar Media Visual Ilmiah & Ranah Aplikasi: Apa itu visual ilmiah; contoh konteks: ensiklopedia, edukasi, museum display.
  2. Observasi Objek Ilmiah & Teknik Dokumentasi: Metode observasi, sketsa observasi, foto referensi, pencatatan fitur penting.
  3. Riset Sumber Ilmiah & Validasi Referensi: Menentukan sumber, membandingkan referensi, dan menyusun “fakta yang harus tampil”.
  4. Struktur Informasi: Label, Anotasi, dan Hierarki: Terminologi, satuan, callout, skala, dan keterbacaan untuk visual ilmiah.
  5. Teknik Visualisasi 2D Ilmiah: Diagram, cutaway/exploded, ilustrasi prosedural, infografis ilmiah.
  6. Teknik Visualisasi 3D Dasar untuk Ilmiah: Model sederhana, lighting/render yang mendukung kejelasan, turntable/explainer visual.
  7. Workflow Produksi, Quality Control, dan Mockup: Pipeline dari data→draft→verifikasi→final; checklist kaidah ilmiah; mockup media.
  1. Introduction & Application Domains: What scientific visuals are; contexts: encyclopedias, education, museum displays.
  2. Scientific Observation & Documentation: Observation methods, observational sketching, photo reference, recording key features.
  3. Scientific Sources & Reference Validation: Selecting sources, cross-checking references, defining “must-show facts”.
  4. Information Structure: Labels, Annotations, Hierarchy: Terminology, units, callouts, scale, and readability for scientific visuals.
  5. 2D Scientific Visualization Techniques: Diagrams, cutaway/exploded views, procedural illustration, scientific infographics.
  6. Basic 3D Visualization for Scientific Media: Simple modeling, clarity-oriented lighting/rendering, turntable/explainer visuals.
  7. Production Workflow, Quality Control, and Mockups: Data→draft→verification→final pipeline; scientific standards checklist; media mockups.
Capaian Pembelajaran Mata Kuliah (CPMK)
  1. Mahasiswa mampu menganalisis sumber ilmiah dan hasil observasi (teks, foto, data, referensi visual) untuk merumuskan kebutuhan informasi, tingkat detail, dan tujuan komunikasi media visual ilmiah.
  2. Mahasiswa mampu merancang visual ilmiah berbasis bukti (2D/3D) dengan struktur informasi yang jelas (labeling, hierarki, anotasi) serta konsistensi representasi sesuai kaidah ilmiah.
  3. Mahasiswa mampu berkolaborasi dalam tim untuk memproduksi satu paket media visual ilmiah (output utama + mockup) serta mempresentasikan dan mempertahankan keputusan desain melalui argumen berbasis data dan evaluasi/quality control.
  1. Students can analyze scientific sources and observation outputs (texts, photos, data, visual references) to define information needs, level of detail, and communication goals for scientific visual media.
  2. Students can design evidence-based scientific visuals (2D/3D) with clear information structure (labeling, hierarchy, annotation) and consistent representation aligned with scientific standards.
  3. Students can collaborate in teams to produce a scientific visual media package (main output + mockup) and present/defend design decisions using data-based arguments and evaluation/quality control.
