  1. menguasai bagian inti dari kriptografi yang meliputi landasan matematika dan aplikasinya
  2. menuliskan bukti-bukti formal dari teori matematika dalam kriptografi
  3. memanfaatkan gagasan matematika dalam menyusun sistem kriptografi
  4. mempelajari koneksi antara cabang matematika: aljabar, teori bilangan, teori peluang dan kombinatorika
  5. mengapresiasi manfaat berpikir abstrak dan formal
  6. mengapresiasi inovasi pemanfaatan teori abstrak dalam bidang aplikasi, khususnya teknologi informasi.
