History of the development of genetic science and perspectives on the role of genetic science in tropical forest development; cell reproduction, mendelism; variations in chromosome number and structure; linkage, crossing over and chromosome mapping; DNA and chromosome structure; gene expression; population genetics; quantitative genetics; genetic variation of tropical forest trees; introduction of genetic markers; and the application of genetics in tropical forest development

  1. Memahami dasar-dasar genetika: Struktur sel, kromososm dan DNA
  2. Memahami pola pewarisan Mendel, mutasi, transkripsi, translasi dan ekspresi gen
  3. Memahami sumber-sumber variasi genetika dan system perkawinan dalam populasi hutan
  4. Melakukan analisis variasi genetik populasi pohon berdasarkan marka morfologis dan marka DNA
  5. Mengaplikasikan ilmu genetika hutan dalam meningkatkan produktivitas hutan.
