  1. Menjelaskan peran hutan dalam perubahan iklim dan upaya internasional untuk mengurangi perubahan iklim
  2. Menjelaskan stok karbon hutan, hubungan faktor lingkungan/iklim pada karbon hutan, dan pendorong perubahan karbon hutan
  3. Menerapkan isu teoritis dan metode praktis untuk mengukur dan memantau karbon hutan, termasuk pendekatan statistik, rancangan pengambilan sampel, dan protokol operasional
  4. Mengintegrasikan peta dan pengukuran berbasis lapangan untuk menghasilkan stok karbon hutan dan emisi pada skala plot dan lebih luas
