Bahan Kajian | - Status perbenihan tanaman hutan: pengertian/konsep teknologi benih hutan tropis, sejarah dan perkembangan ilmu dan Teknologi benih hutan tropis serta faktor pembatas dalam perbanyakan pohon dan rehabilitasi hutan.
- Biologi, perkembangan, fisiologis dan penanganan benih: biologi dan perkembangan benih, respirasi benih dan proses perkecambahan, pengunduhan, sortasi, pemeraman, ekstraksi, pengeringan, dan penyimpanan benih.
- Dormansi dan kesehatan benih: klasifikasi dormansi, tipe dormansi, perlakuan pendahuluan benih, kerentanan terhadap hama dan penyakit, efek hama dan penyakit pada kualitas benih, serangga pemakan benih, infeksi jamur dan pengamanan dalam penanganan pestisida.
- Pengujian kualitas benih: kemurnian, kadar air, berat 1000 butir, daya kecambah, dan vigor benih.
- Bioteknologi benih tanaman hutan: benih sintetik dan enkapsulasi benih.

- Dormancy and seed health: classification and types of dormancy, seed pretreatment, susceptibility to pests and diseases, effects of pests and diseases on seed quality, seed predator, fungal infections, and safety in pesticide handling.
- Seed quality testing: purity, moisture content, 1000-grain weight, germination, and seed vigour.
- Forest tree seed biotechnology: synthetic seeds and seed encapsulation.
