Bahan Kajian
  1. Dasar-dasar Pengantar Sejarah Desain dari berbagai rangkuman literatur dipaparkan sebagai highlight singkat yang terdiri atas topik-topik terkait: periodesasi-historis, mazhab, gaya, tokoh, karya, dan dampak terhadap bidang desain dan kria yang terjadi di kancah desain internasional maupun Indonesia.
  2. Penerapan dasar-dasar Pengantar Sejarah Desain ke dalam kegiatan diskusi-simulasi individu/kelompok untuk memaparkan kasus objek desain berdasarkan olah identifikasi terhadap kecenderungan: periodesasi-historis, mazhab, gaya, tokoh, karya, dan dampak terhadap bidang desain dan kria. Objek desain sebagai kasus diskusi diharapkan sesuai dengan kecenderungan minat penelitian pada proposal tesis individu/kelompok.
  1. The basics of Introduction to Design History from various literature summaries are presented as brief highlights consisting of related topics: historical periodization, schools, styles, figures, works, and impacts on the field of design and crafts that occur in the international and Indonesian design scene.
  2. Applying the fundamentals of Introduction to Design History to individual/group discussion-simulation activities to present design object cases based on identifying trends: historical periodization, schools of thought, styles, figures, works, and impact on the field of design and craft. The design objects used as discussion cases are expected to align with the research interests of the individual/group thesis proposals.
Capaian Pembelajaran Mata Kuliah (CPMK)
  1. Mampu mengeksplorasi sumber pengetahuan literasi bibliografis dan sumber informasi terkait pengantar sejarah desain berbasis akademik maupun popular dari sumber cetak maupun elektronik/internet.
  2. Mampu menjelaskan karakter beserta mengklasifikasikan contoh-contoh pemikiran/karya desain/kriya berdasarkan periodesasi-historis, mazhab, hingga gaya yang terjadi di kancah desain internasional maupun Indonesia.
  3. Mampu mengidentifikasi kecenderungan objek desain/kriya pada proposal tesis kajian/perancangan mahasiswa berdasarkan pengetahuan literasi bibliografis dan sumber informasi terkait sejarah desain.
  4. Mampu menerapkan pengetahuan literasi bibliografis dan sumber informasi materi pengantar sejarah desain di bidang desain atau kriya dalam bentuk kerangka/diagram atau draft artikel dalam penyusunan artikel ilmiah.
  5. Mampu menganalisis, bersikap kritis, dan mendeskripsikannya secara sistematis terhadap fenomena dan perkembangan desain/kriya saat ini.
  1. Able to explore sources of bibliographic literacy knowledge and information sources related to the introduction to academic and popular design history from print and electronic/internet sources.
  2. Able to explain the character and classify examples of design/craft ideas/works based on historical periodization, schools of thought, and styles that occur in the international and Indonesian design scene.
  3. Able to identify the tendencies of design/craft objects in student research/design thesis proposals based on bibliographic literacy knowledge and information sources related to design history.
  4. Able to apply knowledge of bibliographic literacy and information sources on introductory design history material in the field of design or crafts in the form of frameworks/diagrams or article drafts in compiling scientific articles.
  5. Able to analyze, be critical, and describe systematically current design/craft phenomena and developments.

Modalitas PembelajaranKelas dilaksanakan secara hybrid, diutamakan dilakukan secara sinkronik saat pemaparan materi kuliah dan presentasi, pertemuan asinkronik (daring: edunex, whatsapp group, & zoom sebesar 20%-30%) diperlukan saat kegiatan belajar mandiri hingga diskusi/asistensi terkait kasus-kasus di sejarah desain.Classes are conducted in a hybrid manner, with synchronous presentations being preferred during lecture material presentations. Asynchronous meetings (online: edunex, WhatsApp group, & zoom at 20%-30%) are required during independent learning activities and discussions/assistance related to cases in design history.

Pengantar Sejarah Desain berdasarkan bobot tugas berikut: - Tugas individu atau tugas kelompok: 20% - UTS (makalah/artikel ilmiah): 30% - UAS (presentasi): 50%The final assessment for the Introduction to Design History course is based on the following assignment weights: - Individual or group assignment: 20% - Midterm exam (paper/scientific article): 30% - Final exam (presentation): 50%
