Bahan Kajian
  1. Pengenalan ilmu ekologi perairan dan kedudukan ilmu ekologi perairan dengan disiplin ilmu lainnya seperti fisika, kimia, biologi, geologi, dan lainnya;
  2. Sejarah perkembangan ilmu ekologi perairan;
  3. Klasifikasi perairan, siklus air, distribusi, umur dan pembentukan perairan daratan;
  4. Struktur dan fisika air yang meliputi properti air, molekul air dan formasi agregat, densitas dan anomali densitas air, adesi dan kohesi, tegangan permukaan, viskositas dan viskositas kinematik, properti suhu air;
  5. Hubungan fisika-kimia perairan yang meliputi radiasi cahaya pada badan air, keseimbangan panas dalam perairan, pengelompokkan perairan berdasarkan kondisi geografi;
  6. Asosiasi mahluk hidup di perairan alami yang menjelaskan mengenai kehidupan mahluk hidup di perairan tawar dan laut, subdivisi dan komunitas mahluk hidup, zonasi pada perairan;
  7. Material budget yang ada di perairan termasuk: materi terlarut, materi organik di perairan alami, material budget di perairan mengalir, produksi primer, produksi sekunder, destruksi dan fungsi bakteri, transport materi dan energy flux, penelitian ekosistem;
  8. Kandungan dan siklus nitrogen, kandungan dan siklus fosfor, produktivitas tumbuhan,
  9. Distribusi temporal dan spasial produser, material budget konsumer, planktonic, filter feeder, dan sediment feeder,
  10. Aplikasi ekologi perairan dalam manipulasi dan penyelesaian masalah lingkungan
  1. Introduction to the science of aquatic ecology and the position of aquatic ecology with other disciplines such as physics, chemistry, biology, geology, and others;
  2. History of the development of aquatic ecology;
  3. Classification of waters, water cycle, distribution, age and formation of inland waters;
  4. Structure and physics of water including water properties, water molecules and aggregate formation, density and density anomalies of water, adhesion and cohesion, surface tension, viscosity and kinematic viscosity, temperature properties of water;
  5. The physico-chemical relationship of waters which includes light radiation on water bodies, heat balance in waters, grouping of waters based on geographical conditions;
  6. Association of living things in natural waters that explains the life of living things in fresh and marine waters, subdivisions and communities of living things, zoning in waters;
  7. Material budgets in water including: dissolved matter, organic matter in natural waters, material budgets in flowing waters, primary production, secondary production, bacterial destruction and function, material transport and energy flux, ecosystem research;
  8. Nitrogen content and cycling, phosphorus content and cycling, plant productivity,
  9. Temporal and spatial distribution of producers, consumer material budgets, planktonics, filter feeders and sediment feeders,
  10. Application of aquatic ecology in environmental manipulation and problem solving
